Lost In The Storm

Carbucketty watched as Munkustrap rushed to the cabins. He too could hear the cries of the other Jellicles. His guilt got the better of him and he tore away from Bustopher's comforting grip, following Munkustrap into the cabins.

Bustopher Jones cried out in surprise as the young kitten ran back into the cabins. "Carbucketty!" he shouted after him, but his voice was silent against the wind.

Carbucketty ran down to the furthest cabins. He pressed his ear to each door, trying to hear cats who needed help. He heard a soft whimpering and began ramming his shoulder against the door until it broke open. Rumpleteazer was sitting on the ground, looking more scared than any other cat Carbucketty had ever known. He grabbed her as gently as he could on her arm and began pulling her to her feet.
"Come on, Teazer," he said urgently. "We have to get off the boat!"

Teazer slowly got up to help him. Her face had gone white yet she nood at Carbucketty. She was turning to help but she was to scared.

Bomba jumped in the water to save Sill.She woke her up "you have to come with me"she said. She was allmost drawnning there was little time. She just put sill on her sholders. She slowly want out and just fell down. "are you ok?"she asked.She had no time to spare. She put sill and punce on her shoulders. "OK you 2 on ok?"she asked.

Ecty looked over at the boat which she had come from. She looked at tugger "are they going to make it?"she asked.

Bill Bailey rushed up onto the deck, his ears flat against his head. The boat was sinking - he knew that - but where the other Jellicles were he wasn't too sure. "Where is everyone?" he called to Bustopher Jones, who was standing not to far off.

Admetus had woken not minutes ago. His cabin had flooded so he was up to his waist in water. He had half swam, half run to the door and tried to open it, only to find that something was blocking it from the other side. He banged his fists on the door.
"Help me!" he shouted, sobbing loudly. "Please, help me!"

George woke to the sounds of cats crying and shouting. He jumped out of his bed and found that the room had flooded. He rushed to the other bed of the cabin and began shaking his brother violently.
"Victor, you have to wake up," he said clearly. "We have to get off the boat!"
"We have to what?" Victor mumbled, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.
"We're getting off the boat," George repeating, lifting his younger brother up and opening the door, carrying him out onto the deck.

Bomba put them on with everyone. She swam back. She heard some she rapped own the down. "Your going to be ok" she said. She then put her hand out for him to grab. "Come on".

Etcy looked at Tugger. Her start to cry "Were going to die".

Teazer looked at him "weres Mongjerrie?"she asked.

"I don't know where Mungo is," Carbucketty said, leading Teazer quickly to the deck. "He'll be fine though, he's a tough tom. Right now you have to worry about getting off the boat."

The suddeness of the door being broken down by Bombalurina shocked Ademtus and for a moment he was frozen. When she spoke he shook himself mentally and took her hand.
"Thanks," he said. "Thank you so much."

"Looks like a lot of cats are already swimming to shore," George said to Victor. "Hold onto me tightly."
Victor did as he was told. He wrapped his arms around his brother's neck and held on as tightly as he could without strangling George.
George climbed onto the railing and jumped off into the water.

Tantomile cried out for Dr. Timothy. She tried to find him, but there was no use. The wind and rain were too strong for her to handle. She went back down below. "Munkustrap!" She yelled. "I can't find my Human!"

Misto went with Munkustrap. He was shaking, and scared. He didn't really know what was going on.

"Someone help me! Silla cried. She was frozen in fear.

Munkustrap held on tightly to Misto. "Tant, he'll be fine. He's much more capable than we are...we have to get off this boat right now!" He said. He grabbed her paw. "I need you to go up to the lifeboat and help Bustopher. Can you do that for me?" He asked.

Bomba looked at him and smiled. She got out "Go to the lifeboat ok?". She then broke down the down to see Silla she had her hand out for her. "Come on"

Teazer looked up "Take the lifeboat please"she said walking over to it.

Bustopher Jones looked over to Bill Bailey. "In the water," he shouted back. "Some cats are still in the cabins though."

Carbucketty made it onto the deck, still holding Teazer's hand tightly. "Do you want to swim or take the lifeboat?" he asked her.

OOC: Wait... Etcy is already in the water, isn't she? Skimbleshanks jumped off the boat with her on his back.

Bill Bailey could barely hear Bustopher over the wind. He stumbled over to the large tuxedo cat and grabbed onto the railing of the boat to steady himself. "Do you need help setting up life boats?" he asked. "It's a two man job."

Teazer "Ok" she said and looked at the water "I'll swim".

Bomba start to get bored. She could just about breath. "come one".

Meanwhile, Skimbleshanks was treading water and trying to keep Etcy calm at the same time, which was no easy task. But, suddenly, Skimble's legs collided with solid matter. Alarmed, Skimble kicked, expecting a shark or fish, but instead found... sand. A sandbar. A few more seconds of scrambling and Skimble was standing knee-deep in water on an honest-to-Everlasting Cat sandbar, Etcy still clinging to his back. And what was better - the sandbar was only sixty yards off from an immense stretch of sandy beach. An island! It was a welcome sight even in the darkness and rain of the thunderstorm. Skimble turned back to where he thought he had last seen the boat and began waving his arms as best as he could, still muttering soothing words to Etc.

" Yes Munkustrap, I can do that," Tant cried out. She was worried about her Human, but knew that Munk was right. She found Bustopher, and called out to him and the others that were with him. "Bustopher, take my hand! I'm going to try to pull you all to safety." She took hold of Bustopher's hand and pulled him out to the water and swam to safety.

Misto stayed with Munkustrap, holding on to his arm tightly. He didn't dare let go. He was too afraid to.

Silla went with Bomby, holding on to her tightly. She was still frightened, but she felt somewhat better now that she had hold of someone older.

Munkustrap carried Misto to the lifeboats. "Is everyone ready to go?" He asked, wanting to make sure everyone was off before he left.

Bomba smiled and jumped in the water with her on her back. "Are you ok holding on tight".

Teazer blinked and jump on the lifeboat and smiled.

Ecty smiled "thanks your the best"she said.

Bustopher Jones followed Tantomile, knowing that she would lead him to safety.

Carbucketty followed the others into the lifeboat. He tried to see out to the shore, to make sure that the others were alright, but couldn't see anything clearly through the panic of the situation.

Tumblebrutus was getting tired. His arms and legs ached from swimming and the additional weight of Quaxo made it harder to hold his head above the water.
A wave crashed over his head and he and Quaxo were pushed under the water. The current swept the helpless two for a moment, then slammed them into the shore. They coughed loudly and climbed further onto the shore.

Skimble looked back over his shoulder at the shore and saw the figures of two cats pulling themselves on. Figuring if he hadn't gotten the other cats attention by now, he would never, he said to Etcy, "Okay, lass, hold on tight. We're going in again." With that, he jumped back in the water and swam towards shore. This time, he found his footing on good, solid land and walked ashore. "Okay, Etc, you can get off now," he said, crouching next to the two forms on the beach. "Are you two alright?"

"I think so," Tumblebrutus coughed.
"Remind me never to go on another boat," Quaxo said, peeling a piece of seaweed off his face.
"Are you guys alright?" Tumble asked Skimble and Etcetera.
