It was 2 weeks before the annual Jellicle Ball, and for the past 2 and 1/2 days it has been raining. The rain finally stopped. Grizabella was cold and wet. About a week before the rain she was starting to get a cold. Now she was sick. She was coughing really bad, and sniffling. She knew she had to get to the Junkyard. Yesterday she came across some Alley Cats, and they started to fight with her. They bit and scratched her, and they were pushing her around, and one of them made her fall down on her right leg, the one she limped on, and now it hurt her really bad. She could barely walk. Also, a couple days before the rain she had been walking, and thought she heard something in the bushes, and she got scared and ran and fell and hurt her left foot. She needed medical attention. Fast! The only place she knew to go was the Jellicle Junkyard. She was limping now, worse than usuall, and she was having a really bad coughing spell. She couldn't breathe. Her head was stuffy, her neck, shilders, and upper back hurt her too. She had to sit down, but she couldn't sit for long. She was about a block from the Junkyard. She was running a temperature too. Grizabella was a very sick cat. She was hoping that someone would have compassion and take her in if only to get better. She walked as fast as she could with both legs throbbing with pain. She was half crying too, because it was so cold, and it was the season the Humans called Autumn, and it was unseasonably cool the night before, and the weather was not much better today. It was 55 degrees outside, and with Griz being wet, it felt a lot colder, like 35 degrees. She kept on her guard for other Cats that may hurt her. She could barely walk. Finally she made it to the Yard. She looked around. Nobody was up and about yet. She quietly went into the Yard. She looked around. "Good, no one seems to be here," she said to herself. She found a place to sit and rest. She looked around some more. No one was there, so she thought. "I wonder if someone will come along soon." She knew she shouldn't be in the Junkyard. All the Jellicles banned her the last time she was there because she had left the Yard, hoping to find something better. She hoped that someone would take care of her, because right now, she couldn't. She was sitting on Gus's stump at the moment, but she got up again hoping she could at lease stand. Griz was coughing so much that she knew she was getting a severe case of her bronchitus. That's how bad she felt.
Tantomile was in the Junkyard. She had just gotten up from a cat nap, and stretched out. She went outside her den onl to find Grizabella. Tantomile noticed that Grizabella was coughing, and wet from the storm. She listened carefully. "Grizzy doesn't look well, or sound well," she said to herself. "I need to help her," she continued. Tant knew that Geiz was banned from the yard, but she also knew she couldn't just stand by and listen to her cough and sneeze like that eighter. Tant had some extra clothes, and a couple extra blankets. She went back inside her den to get them, and returned outside. Griz was getting ready to walk out of the Yard. She had to make her move now! She walked towards Grizabella. Griz stopped and looked over her sholder and smiled, but was cautious. She trusted Tantomile, but noticed that Tant had some blankets in her hands, and was almost afraid of what Tant was going to do. Tantomile scensed Griz's fears, and said, "Grizzy, don't be afraid. I've come to help you. You look like you're not feeling well, and I wanna help." Griz smiled and sighed in relief. Tant was always so kind to everyone.
"I'm sick, and I have something wrong with my foot, and I hurt my right leg again, fighting, trying to defend myself."
"Come here. I can take you to just beside my den and try to help you. You sound like your bronchitus has come back"
"It has. I don't feel well, and I look a sight."
"I will help you get better again."
Mr. Mistoffelees was coming out of his pipe, and couldn't believe what he was seeing. Tantomile was helping Grizabella. "Tant knows that Griz was banned and not supposed to be here. Why is she helping her?" Misto also noticed that Griz didn't look well. "Well or not well, she doesn't belong here." Tant and Misto, and Tant's twin brother Coricopat were best friends. Misto was miffed that Tantomile could help a traitor. "I can't believe she is helping that traitor." He felt badfor Griz, but he knew that he wasn't about to help her. He would also be banned for sure.
OOC: I'm basing this first post on my first post in the last thread, and I'm hoping we could have a very similar plot going on.

Jemima had been wandering the Junkyard, surveying the damage the rain had caused. When she spotted Grizabella, her curiousity and sympathy peaked and she rushed over to see if she could assist. "Tantomile! What's wrong?" She bent down to help the old queen. "I'm Jemima. Are you okay? Who are you?"

"I'm Grizabella. I was a Jellicle Cat once, but I was banned from the yard because I wanted to find something better," Griz replied. Then she started to cough again. "I've been better. I'm sick, and need help." She continued.
"Hi Jemi. I could use your help if you want to give me a hand with making Grizabella better."

"Sure, I'll help," Jem said. "Though you'll have to tell me what I need to do." To Grizabella, she asked curiously, "Did you ever find anything better?"

Alonzo had just finished his rounds of the 'yard, ever watchful of anything that could harm the Jellicles. He hummed happily, excited that the time for the Jellicle Ball was once again upon them. He'd hoped to find a mate this year, wanting to settle down a bit. He came upon a group of three, smiling at Jemima and Tantomile. His smile disappeared very quickly when he laid eyes on the third member of the group - ex member, he reminded himself. "What are you doing back here," he hissed?

'Oh, hello Alonzo, it's so good to see you again. I'm here because I'm sick, and my leg is hurting really bad, and I have something wrong with my other foot. Please can I stay until I get better?" Griz asked him. "Tantomile is helping me, and so is Jemima," She looked over at Jemima and said, "No, not really. Out there it's colder, and not too many friendly faces around." Griz was standing while she was talking. Her leg was really hurting her bad. Grizabella had another really bad coughing spell. Tantomile rubbed Griz's back, hoping that would make her feel better.
"Yeah Alonzo, I'm going to help Griz get better. I was thinking about taking her to my place just outside the Yard, you know the smaller den I made sometime back? She's really sick and needs me. It is okay, right?"
Misto couldn't believe what he was hearing. Tantomile wanted to help Grizabella after Grizabella walked out on the tribe. "Sick or not, she shouldn't be here," he said to himself.
OOC: I will be playing Gus until we have someone to play him for real.
Gus was walking to the Yard. It was a bad day to be out, and he was already catching a cold. He was shaking from his Palsey, and he was limping on his bad leg. He was on his guard until he reached the Junkyard. When Gus went inside the yard, he saw Alonzo, Jemima and Tantomile, and smiled. Then he saw Grizabella, and the smile went off his face. His mood quickly changed too. He hated his sister for walking out of the Tribe, but he noticed that she didn't look well. He went over to the small group that was there. "Hi all," he said to his friends. He looked at Grizabella, who was having a very hard time standing up, and was coughing and wheezing, and sneezing. "You should not be here," he told Grizabella in a stern voice. 'Why are you here?" He asked her."
"I'm sick, and I needed to come here to get well." Griz answered him with a small smile. 'It's so good to see you again, dear Brother."
"Don't give me the dear brother routien. If I was a dear brother, you wouldn't have left this yard to find something better. You aren't welcome here, sick ot not."

OOC: Sorry for my long absences.. I have very limited time and when I do get on it's only for email and one board if that.. Bringing one character out right now due to time I have left for the day, possibly week
BIC: Razzy came out of her den when she heard voices in the Yard. They weren't happy voices either. She hadn't been here when Grizabella was here and left the Tribe to do something better. She sat down in front of her den and watched, not really sure whom she could ask to get an explanation. She stayed where she was, her dark brown eyes just watching them. She didn't stare for long and looked over in the direction she had senced Misto in. She looked in his direction, but wasn't sure if he was going to talk to her about what was going on. The queen on the ground looked like she needed help, but Razzy was afraid that the Tribe would turn on her for doing something she shouldn't. It was her turn this year and the last thing she needed was trouble.

Misto looked around the Yard, trying not to look at Grizabella. He didn't like her. He really didn't want her there. He noticed Razzy, and smiled. He walked over to her. "Hey Razzy," he said, blushing. "What do you think about Grizabella being here? She shouldn't be here."

"Hello Misto," Razzy replied softly, trying not to blush, but was probably failing miserably. "I don't know what to think. I wasn't here when she was here before or left. I know that now and again her name was mentioned. What exactly did she do that was so bad to make everyone hate her?"

"She left to see if she could find something better. Now she's sick, and hurt, and wants us to help her out. I really don't want her here," Misto said honestly. "She isn't getting my help."

Razzy nodded and said, "It's sad. Why would anyone think there's something better than what they have here? I don't have much in my den, but I have friends and I think that's wonderful. Nothing could ever be better than this, except maybe having a human and a warm house, but that's nothing because a lot of the members in this Tribe have humans that they go home to, like Victoria and Old Deuteronomy."

Alonzo looked at Tantomile in shock. "No! Of course that isn't ok! She should not be here - she's not welcome!" He shouted. "And don't you ever talk to me as if we are friends!" He hissed at Grizabella. "You lost that right when you left your family and friends for something better...well, I hope to Heaviside you found it. Now, get out!"
Tugger heard Alonzo yelling and his ears perked a the sound. Alonzo yelling? That couldn't be right! He quickly left his den to see what all the commotion was about. "What's going on?" He asked, strutting his stuff. He stopped immediately when he saw Grizabella. "Well...look what the kitty dragged in." He sneered.

Grizabella felt sad that Alonzo and the others didn't want her around. She started coughing again, really bad. Tantomile rubbed Griz's back to make her feel better.
'Alonzo, Griz is sick. She needs medical attention. She needs to stay here," Tant said softly. Griz couldn't stop coughing. She was having a hard time breathing too.

"I. Don't. Care." Alonzo said slowly. "She is not welcome."
Tugger stood beside him and rested his arm on Alonzo's shoulder. "Hear that mom, scram!" He said, glaring daggers at her. "If we're not good enough for you, then you're not good enough for us!"

A look of hurt came out of Grizabella's eyes. She was still coughing pretty bad, and couldn't breathe. Her nose was really stuffy, and her sholders and neck and upper back was hurting, and her chest was also hurting, and her right leg, from hip all the way down to her toes were hurting along with her left foot and ancle. She couldn't say anything because she was coughing so bad. One good thing came from coming back to the Yard: Tantomile and Jemima were having compassion on her, and they, so far, were the only two cats interested in helping her. Tantomile was rubbing her back, trying to make her feel better, but with her right leg hurting, she took one step backwards, and Griz fell down on her right leg. She wasn't strong enough to put any weight on that leg, and her left foot had been faultering. When Griz fell, Tantomile helped her back up. Griz started coughing worse. Tant put her right arm around Griz's sholders, and held out her left hand in case Griz wanted to lean on it for support.
Tantomile continued to rub Grizabella's back for her, hoping that would make her feel better, but she knew that Griz needed medicine, and fast. "I'm going to take care of Grizabella Alonzo, with, or without your blessing. She needs medicine, and to be cared for or she wont survive."
"Tantomile, do you know what Coricopat would say to you if he were here right now? I don't mean to lecture you, but none of us want her here. I don't want her here, even if she is my sister." Gus looked at Tantomile while saying what he had to say, then he looked at Grizabella, and gave her a mean glare. "You're no longer a Jellicle Cat as far as I am concerned, and you're no longer my sister. I want you gone tonight! We don't want you here anymore. Next time you're sick, don't come crawling back to us."
'Gus she can't leave. She'll surely die out there. I have to take care of her."
"Let her take care of herself. She left us. I say if she can leave her clan behind, she can take care of herself."
'No. I can't do that. It isn't the right thing to do. What if it were Jellylorum? I know you would help her, no matter what.
Grizabella was coughing even worse by this time, and she couldn't defend herself against her brother. She knew he was right. She wished she had never left the Yard in the first place. She moved again, and started to fall, but Tantomile kept Griz from falling.
Jelly is different. She's my daughter."
"And Grizabella is your sister. She needs you, and Old Deuteronomy right now for support, and love."
"She left the tribe. She's no longer family. That's all I have to say on the matter. She is to leave the Yard today!"
'Tanti, Gus is right. Maybe I should just go. I'll find a dry spot and lay down. My slum is all wet from top to floor. I'm sure I can get medicine from someone. I'll go now. I don't want to cause any more trouble than I already have." Griz started to walk, but she fell down again, and hurt her right leg again from falling. She started to go into another really bad coughing fit. She tried at first to get up on her own, but she couldn't because she was coughing so bad; she fell down again.
'No Grizzy, don't go. I'll help you get better. I'll take you to my other den, the one I have just for myself, right outside the yard. You wont make it anywhere on that leg of yours tonight. Let me help you. Please stay, just until you get better." Tantomile helped Grizabella up on her two feet again. She continued to rub Griz's back. "She needs me to take care of her, and that's what I'm going to do." As Tant helped Griz up, Griz had started her coughing fit. She couldn't stop coughing, and Tant was worried. Alonzo and Tugger would not help her, and neighter would Gus or Misto.
OOC: Will bring in the rest on my next post.

"Gussy!" Jem said, briefly letting go of Grizabella to beam radiantly at her favorite grandfatherly tom. But her beam quickly turned to a look of confusion at all of the hatred that was going towards this poor old queen. Taking Griz's arm so the sick queen could lean on her for support, Jem looked with innocent confusion at Alonzo, making a quiet protest, "But I welcome her." She didn't mean it to contradict him; she was terribly confused as to why everyone was treating this poor soul so hostily.

"Because you don't know her." Alonzo responded a bit more calmly as he spoke to the kitten. "You have no idea Jemi...she turned her back on her tribe. Turned her back on every single one of us. She thought she could find better..." He trailed off, shaking his head. "And now we'll do the same. Tantomile, if you insist upon helping this cat, then you must do it outside the Junkyard. She's upsetting the tribe and I will not have that. Take her somewhere else, but I don't want to see her around here again." He commanded.
Tugger cocked his head. "Way to throw around the power 'Lonzo." He said with a small smirk. He patted him on the back and walked away from the queen who gave birth to him. As he passed Gus, he gave him a small nuzzle and then kept on walking.
